ABOUT THE PROJECT

A customer-first Rochester moving guide, before any referral program.

Rochester Moving Guide is being built as an independent planning resource for people preparing a local move. It is not a moving company and does not provide estimates or transport household goods.

What is active now

The site publishes practical move-planning content: access preparation, apartment moves, packing, estimates, and questions to ask moving companies. It does not accept quote requests, route phone calls, or share consumer information with movers.

What must happen before referrals

First, the site must earn relevant search visibility and show that its content is useful. Only afterward can a local referral pilot be considered. That would require a named provider, transparent disclosure, consent before information sharing, secure intake, clear response standards, and outcome tracking.

How we use competitor research

We study strong Rochester moving websites for customer-experience patterns—such as clear service navigation, useful estimate fields, accessible contact details, and transparent process explanations. We do not copy their text, reviews, imagery, credentials, or customer claims.

What this guide will not do

It will not imply that it is a mover, make a guaranteed-ranking claim, collect consumer information with no accountable recipient, or steer an interstate move without the required legal and consumer-protection review.
